Do I Get Prizes? Individuals who raise $35 or more will be eligible for prizes! 100% of the money raised will go to help care for the homeless and abandoned animals in SafeHaven’s care. Prizes will be awarded to the top two youth, adult, and pack pledge earners as well, so get out there and start raising your pledges!

What Else is There to Do? During the day there will be a variety of fun activities available until 1pm for your family (including your dog!). There is a small donation fee for some events. There will be face painting and games for the kids. There is a Costume Contest, Smallest and Biggest dog, demonstrations, food, vendors, games, prizes and more for you and your pooch. We will again have a micro- chip clinic and you can have your dog micro-chipped by a local veterinarian for only $25. This permanent identification system is invaluable if you ever lose your pet. There will be many adoptable dogs from SafeHaven on site for you to meet, and they will be wearing orange “Adopt Me” vests. Maybe you both will find a “Friend for Life”! Be sure to stop by the SafeHaven booth and get more information on volunteering, fostering, and adopting. Tami’s Table will also be there so you can get your T-shirts, bumper stickers, dog coats, pet beds, pet toys, gifts and more. Don’t miss this fun event for you and your dog!

Do I Bring My Dog? Well behaved dogs on leashes are always welcome. For safety reasons, "extend-a-leashes" are not recommended . Female dogs in heat are not permitted. Please use good judgment regarding the temperament of your pet so that this event will be safe and enjoyable for everyone. For their safety please be sure your pets are properly vaccinated and leave very young pups at home.

Why Does SafeHaven Need My Help? SafeHaven Humane Society is a non-profit organization that relies on the generosity of donors and volunteers in our community. We receive no government funding to shelter or care for the animals. Your participation at Paws in the Park as a walker, volunteer, fundraiser, sponsor and/or donor allows us to shelter and care for the nearly 1,300 animals that come to us for help each year. With your help, we provide medical and behavioral care to homeless pets in need. With your help, we are a resource to this community, providing humane education, low-income spay neuter resources, and offering volunteer and mentorship opportunities.
